3.2 Carrera Electrical Troubleshooting

Postby black3.2 on Thu Dec 01, 2016 6:44 pm

I have a 1989 Carrera 3.2 with non-operative automatic climate control. It worked perfectly until recently. Now, nothing happens at all when I turn the knob to any of the positions 1 through 10.

I replaced the circuit board in the module that is mounted on the floor between the seats. After replacing the board, when I turn the knob, I hear a slight electrical hum, but nothing mechanical occurs, fan operating, etc. Any offer of a referral in the San Diego area to someone/shop that has a particular expertise / electrical skills that could troubleshoot this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Take it to Black Forest in Kearny Mesa, lots of expertise there on anything Porsche, and they are a club sponsor.
