Thanks Tom,

Although no Bench Racing Index results were posted, for reasons that will soon be obvious I took the liberty of hand calculating them...

Top 3 BRI
3rd: Scott Leslie
2nd: Roger Bush
1st: Shawn Flanagan

I didn't check all the cars just lower points than mine and anyone faster through CC09.

I just so happen to have a speech prepared.
I would like to thank poor attendance. This probably, ok would not have been possible had any of the 2017 BRI (aka the Adam Gill award) winners been in attendance, or driving their normal Porsches. I want to dedicate my victory to our outgoing Autorcross chair for all his efforts to lead an awesome AX team, and thank him for driving his Cayman R instead of his race car.

Humbly,
Shawn

I hate to be the bearer of undesired news, but I got a different result. And I computed the numbers for all 21 Porsches that completed timed runs:

Code: Select all
82.32398    Roger Bush
82.35078    Shawn Flanagan
82.43378    Mark Curran
82.64496    Bryan Van Noy
83.71440    Scott Leslie
84.08844    Jack Brennen
84.36252    Jerry Bumpus
85.35672    Charlie Kleinhans
85.96464    Jason Stewart
86.28222    Grant Graber
86.50512    Ken Karl
86.63772    Tim Gage
86.81436    Sergey Melnikov
87.65640    Ian McIntyre
88.09290    John Picot
88.18270    Gerald Gibson
89.00532    Tom Brown
90.67660    Gabriel Elzien
91.21194    Steve Eisler
92.70794    Kathy Eisler
94.31730    John Ma

Please check my math. I imported the times into Excel from the posted times in this thread, so I'm pretty sure there are no errors there, but I might have entered a BRI multiplier wrong.

Thanks Jack! :x

I knew that I should have QC'd those. Congrats to Roger then based on the results that Tom posted.

BUT, I was using my secret un-posted fastest time of ~1:28:04 (something like that; I'm sure it was fast enough to win) that inadvertently got cancelled when Jerry called in a rerun while I was at start and instead of cancelling the prior run, they gave me a zero for that superb run. I followed up in the trailer after, but Tom must not have bothered to update since I absolutely destroyed everyone else running 944 Spec and no one was going to bother do math for BRI.

So... I'm sticking with my story and claim that I reign victorious (over the largely unattended & momentum biased autocross). :D

Bummed I couldn't do timed runs! Was running in the 1:28s in practice... before...

Anyone have a 996 engine they aren't using?

Seriously, Charles? That sucks!

We've lost 2 996s in 2 months?
