Great TT weekend at Buttonwillow!

Postby Cajundaddy on Mon Nov 04, 2019 8:12 am

Perfect weather and big fun hanging out and sharing the track with friends. We ran course 1A CCW so it was a learning equalizer for everyone. Sadly I was not able to keep my best time and gave back 1.3 seconds in timed runs, but I managed to stay out of the dirt so I call that a win!

Congrats to Paul Filsinger for TTOD and Magic Murray for Top BRI. See you all in Chuckwalla in 2020.

I was less clean on my timed runs (Sorry about that to those who ran after)!
But it didn't seem to make that big a difference as we set 14 new track records!

It was a lot of fun driving the Pumpkin 944 Spec. Thanks Greg and Steve for the loaner. It was a blast shaking off the rust and remembering how to drive a 944. Alex and Chuck were really fast all weekend and it was fun, and challenging, trying to keep up. Congrats to Alex for the class win and new class record. I can't remember the last time three 944 Specs were in the top ten BRI, but there we are. Congrats to Paul for TTOD and to Murray for the BRI win. Looking forward to next year and getting back out there with the Silver Bullet.

Missed you guys too. I need to hear all about the Endless Summer race track safari. We need a reunion gig at Chuckwalla in Jan. Any chance we can get our drummer out of retirement? 8)

Cue Smoke On The Water...

The thought is much appreciated, but a reunion tour for this wannabe drummer is unlikely in 2020. It was an honor and a pleasure driving and jamming with everyone for so many years. Some great times that won't soon be forgotten.
