I assume that the noise meter will be set up at the DE? If so, it would be nice to get some readings for the cars that are headed to Laguna Seca, if possible.

As Kris mentioned the DE is a good testbed for those going to Laguna Seca. Note they enforce a strict 92db sound limit. I believe you get two warnings and third time you are done for the day. Bring out those sound reducing contraptions.

I don't know, Martin. I easily meet the 92-DB rating, and I don't think it sounds like a vacuum cleaner ... at least not from inside the car. And, I have extra sound-proofing on my right hand: (Turn up the volume on the video)

I hope you do not show that to anyone....letting go of the wheel to recenter.....driving with 1 and 1/2 hands....not something I would think we want to condone from a safety perspective.....oh my!!!!

Oh yeah, I forgot, you were in the car with me, Kary.

In fact, I NEVER let go of the wheel in that video. Since you can only view the steering wheel from 12:00 to 5:00, you can't really see how the left hand was working the wheel, except when the left hand temporarily reached or exceeded 12:00.

I usually/typically drive AX's using "three-fingers-and-thumb-at-9:00-and-3:00" for light steering. On this day I happened to use 2-fingers-and-thumb on the right hand and 3-fingers-and-thumb on left.

But, since you were riding with me, you already knew that.
