Yes, the Black C4 Cab is sold, to an Alaskan guy living in Belgium and moving to Germany. The car is supposedly being picked up by the shipper this coming week.

The red 86 turned out to have some body damage that was repaired cheaply (read: made the Bondo company rich) so I passed on that,

No turning to the darkside, I decided that I need to have a 911 to be complete (no offense to the water pumper drivers out there) so I am looking for a two wheel drive, coupe between 86 and 94. I don't know why I gravitate away from the 84-85 cars there is just something that pulls me to the 86 and up models, maybe it is the dash board changes that make me fill more like the 964 I am used to.

Geez, Dave! It's getting harder and harder for me to dislike you.

Se you all tomorrow AM!

Didn't the G-50 trans start in '87? Despite the dashboard :D and being a year older, the '86s are generally a bit cheaper, relatively, because of that change. '87-89s seem to get a premium.

Good luck on the search. Too bad you weren't looking when Pete was trying to sell his red Carrera, while it was still a street car. He couldn't give it away!

I'd be looking for an RS America, or just a 964 C2 to do the "Martin-job" on, to play with the KP guys if I were you.

Yes the G50 started in 87 and there is a price premium for them. The dash board was changed in 86, larger air vents the primary item but they just to seem to look more right to me after 8 years in the C4. I actually looked at a 90 C2 today that I really like. Odd that 87-89 3.2s cost more than comparable 90-91 964s. 86s are pretty price equivalent to the 964s and 84-85 are even cheaper but hard to find with reasonable (say less 150k) miles.

I'm afraid to play in KP though  , that is one tough crowd.
