Great club to run with.Erik ran two years with them before he ran his first auto-x. You do need to supply your own kart

Is it open practice, or do they have groups (hpv, TAG, Shifter, Kids)?
I've been longing to get back in the shifter, but a 2-3 hr drive to the track doesn't appeal to me.

Cool! She acknowledges that we exist.!!

Thanks for the heads up on the karting. I personally believe more people should get into this from PCA. Erik is a prime example of what can be learned from Karts. 99% of the factory Porsche drivers grew up in Karts, moved to Formula 3000 and then into sedans.

Thanks again Mark for the info. I'll see if we can drag out a few karts.

There is about six run groups with different types of karts grouped together.

Any chance to buy a ride? Some folks might want to buy a few laps or a session?

Thanks Brad,

I think it will be difficult to find parts for my KT100. I need a Burris starter rod drive 5/16" and a cupper bushing for a Tomar dry clutch or a 11 tooth direct drive sprocket (if they let me drive with a direct drive).

If I am lucky my order will arrive this friday or saturday.

Mark,

let Erik know that I was running high 1:14's low 15's in the Moran "school" karts by my 3rd 20 min session out this past Saturday. I would like to run up there with him the next time he goes.

Roger that. This Sunday we will be racing at Qualcomm. The practice day was good fun.Quite a few PCA people there running also. There were karts hitting 75 mph on the back straight. The infield
portion had some nice wide corners where passing was very possible and the track looked pretty safe. The grip was not that good because of the track being totally flat so there was a lot of dirt-tracking around the corners.
Practice and qualifying races are in the morning and the mains are in the afternoon.Hope to see some more PCA faces out there and I do have a kart for a 8-12 year old for sale.
