Beat the heat at the August 19th Autocross

Postby Jackie C on Mon Aug 07, 2006 5:10 pm

And once more for good measure...

Have you ever wanted to soak your rival with the the contents of your water bottle, but couldn't spare the water in the heat? Here's your chance to release your friendly frustration, cool off, contribute to Children's Hospital.

Featured at the August 19th autocross will be a state-of-the-art Pitch Burst apparatus. It incorporates all of the fun of a dunk tank, but without the total immersion or the wasting of water. Instead, after pitching a ball with acceptable accuracy, a giant water balloon's worth of refreshing water is released on a fun-loving and big- hearted PCASDR volunteer.

Ten dollars gets you three opportunities to drench your competitor (with consent). With the usual amount of PCASDR spirit and generosity, this attraction promises much fun and laughter, so please bring an extra set of clothes (if you feel necessary) and your good-sportsmanship to the Pitch Burst sub- event on August 19th and beat the heat!

All proceeds go the Children's Hospital.

are you game?

The way I see it, between Dan Chambers and Jad Duncan we should be able to fund a new wing at Children's...Curt, this would be a good time to show yourself down south here. I think there are a few people who would love a "shot" at you. C'mon, do it for the kids!

Jad,

Just ante up and soak her. I'll bet we could get enough people willing to ante up to keep her in the wet seat most of the day.

Greg Philips

Postby Jackie C on Thu Aug 10, 2006 3:34 pm

We are all so proud of Greg Philips and what is has done above and beyond to help our club. Great that he has been recognized on the National level. Shouldn't he be the 1st person to be crowned with a water balloon? All in favor?

Greg needs to get recognized by some water on his head. No hat when this happens.

Show myself down south? Alright! I will be there, wearing my thong. Now I warn you, I haven't been in for my Brazil-wax in a long time.

I have a much better idea. I will stay home so you all won't have to gouge your own eyes out.

How about a more fun idea with water balloons? How about we buy water ballons for $5 a piece and get to go out to a corner worker station and throw them at our rivals during timed runs? I may start autocrossing again for that! :D
