Boxster bumper repair

New Boxster bumper cover ($800), paint and replace ($475)... or -
Getting the old bumper cover repaired as good as new - priceless (ok - not really, it was $456).

After a close encounter of the unfortunate kind, I thought I would need a new bumper cover, which would run around $1300-1400 by the time it was done.

I sent BumperDoc (http://www.bumperdoc.com) photos of the damage and they quoted $456 to repair the damage. We took it in and they fixed it in a single day for the quoted price. The results are - perfect! There is no visible sign that anything ever happened to the bumper - no crack, all the crazing in the plastic is gone, and the bumper cover looks like new.

After repair (*** Note - those are just reflections and highlights - the bumper cover is perfectly smooth and color matched):

Anyway, I thought I would recognize some excellent work by a Windblown Witness advertiser (and yes, I told them that was one of the reasons I went there).
