For all of you going to WSIR next month. I doubt I will be for various reasons, mainly moving and the new engine is not likely to be installed by then.

I highly suggest taking a walk out to the exit area of turn 9 and see if the track mgmt. has done any repairs out there. If not, the drop off is considerable if you put your outside tires off in the dirt. I did last Sep at the HSR event and the car high centered, and I spun backwards across the track and about 300+' out into the infield, almost collecting 2 cobras that were behind me. Not a fun ride. Check it out and give the outside a wide berth. And have fun!!!!!!!! :P

Kris,
Yes, that's what I do. As you come into the Palmdale area you'll come to the first stop light. Make a left onto the Pearblossom highway. There's only about 4 lights until you get to 14. Watch out for the onramp!! It's a really tight, late apex, right hander. There's only one small sign for it. You intercept 14N just as it starts climbing up into the hills.

I just called tonight and was able to get a room at the Inn of Lancaster still.

Try the Best Western Desert Winds (661-824-3601) in Mojave. I had a reservation there when I couldn't get anything in Lancaster. It is about the same distance from the track as the Inn of Lancaster, but north.
