Who's ready to TT with mods :) ?

A place to hang out and discuss all things Porsche.

Give me a technical track and I am happy....

Spoken like a true 944 owner  . Oh, wait .... sorry, Dan. You had a 944. My bad.

I can appreciate your interest in technical tracks. I remember well the display you gave during timed runs at Streets last year. You really nailed it.

As for Mod's: I've gone retro: driving a Street Stock car and loving it. How fast? Who cares! Probably slower than the GP car was. How fun? Impossible to measure. Can't have too much fun, can we?8)

Kary: the car looks great! That wing, coupled with all the other goodies, are really impressive. 8) It'll be interesting to compare your times pre-wing vs. post-wing.

Have fun! See you at Streets.

Well, he did say, "...along with some other new items on the car!"...like his new quad-turbo....

These items only reduced lift. You need a wing for downforce which makes the car much more stable at turn 8 and 9, thats the point... :D

Ummmm..... thanks Dan. I do know what the point of a wing is. But many of the people who are getting new wings for this weekend have been bragging about going flat out through T8 for years. Now suddenly they need wings, for what? Couldn't be to go more flat out. So all they will end up doing is increasing drag on the straights?

The only new mod I'll have this weekend is a motor that runs. And, as with every other time I've been to WSIR, if I don't go flat out in T8 I will have only one thing to blame: Me.

See ya @ the track (finally).

Mike,

Glad to see you back! We will have fun this weekend.

Regarding flat...just hang on and miss the bumps through 8 and it will all work out :)

It will be interesting to see the quantitative data via the G2X but the wing is not the interesting part it will be the "other goodies" you mentioned, did someone say quad turbo

Yeah, I did notice that. I was just giving Kary some grief. Seeing his wing reminded me of that tall wing in the movie Cars. Of course Kary doesn't have quite so many wings, but it's almost as high :-D.

Thanks Kary, it'll be good to be back.

Did I see a red dot on your window? Did you get race licensed with POC and I missed it? Of course it could have been posted here and I just wasn't paying attention...

I've still got my dot, hoping to get that last race in this year.
