My name is Jad Duncan, and I am a speedoholic....

BUT, the plan is the 710's were a one time experiment with the darkest side and I hope to be on RA-1's most of the time. For now, I have to wear out the Nittos and see how many timed sessions I can get out of the 710's.

I don't plan on spending any more on the car except on maintenance and repair. Catch me if you can.... :P

Based on the last ax it would seem the Nitto's are already worn out...

Hi, Jad .... Welcome!

Yeah? Okay: I'd say that's as likely as me parting my hair and/or investing in Vidal Sassoon products :nono: . Come on, Jad. Who you tryin' to kid? Admit it ... you're hooked. Embrace the need for speed. You and Martin are just too fun to watch with all the bolt-ons, wings, chips, etc, etc. (And I thought I had gone over to the dark side  .)

Smartest, most financially sound statement I've EVER read on this website.

Well, maybe just some suspension tweaks and while your in there a brake upgrade. You could probably free up a little horsepower with an exhaust upgrade and get more traction with a LTD slip. Some better seats will hold you in place better and some 5-point harnesses will keep you planted and be safer. Come to think of it a roll cage would be even safer.

Now that your safe and your suspension and brakes are dialed in, you notice that your car is kind of underpowered. A little 3.6 upgrade seems to be the way to go, but now your tires can't keep traction so you need wider rims and stickier tires.

Wow, you have a ton of power now, great suspension, great brakes and great stick, but you could really use some aerodynamic aids like a huge wing and a front splitter.

Long live Street Stock, but hello AR1! :D

We joke about it, but seriously, wouldn't crack be a cheaper addiction?

Yes, but the crack forums are nearly as entertaining and informative

Plus, don't I get my investment back when I sell the car :banghead:

Jad, Now how can you put a monetary value on the enjoyment you have received driving and developing that car??
It's truly priceless...

Don't you KI guys have enough points to run slicks? Now that is the crack side of things, hoosiers/710's are for beginner addicts :)

Of course when move up it gets harder to find the limit so your times may vary :)

Yes, you'll get back every penny. As a matter of fact, I'll give you $4376 for the car right now.

You know Jad, your car is on my list of cars going into the crusher when I win the Lotto. You and Dan A will be first. I will make you guys an offer you can't refuse, but then I will force you to watch your cars go into the crusher. :P :P :P :D

Kary,

Let see, my car has 23 points with 710, 21 with the Nittos/RA1's. Does that leave room for slicks and stay in KI???

Curt,

Most of my car is made of the plastic they wrap DVD's in. Completely indistructable and pops back into the original shape when bent....don't I wish  Is there some clever significance in the $4376 that I am missing or was that just a random offer?

Jad,

Slicks automatically put you in Improved class. You're already there. Otherwise I believe they're 6 points if you're already in Improved. You must be KI for a reason, why not slicks?

That is pretty funny Jad! Clever significance of the $4376 offer? No, I was just offering you back every penny you had invested in your car like you asked for. :P :D
