Jad,

I originally intended to participate in the PCA Club Race, but then I only registered for the Time Trial. Mainly because I want to be nice to my 911 for a while :D in just case that I make the decision to replace it with an open wheel carbon-fiber rocket soon.

Jad, I am going to run the POC races (2) that weekend but not the PCA. You should go to the POC school and get signed off and run some POC events. They are fun and the drivers are quite good. I have learned a lot from them so far and expect to learn more as I race more with them.

Erik did the Driving Concepts racing school last May
at Willow and got a NASA license. He ran the Willow event two weeks ago in the shop 944 spec and came out clean. With several test days at Willow under his belt and three seasons of go-kart racing he got the green light to run Fontana as a rookie. He will be out there in the Black Forest 944 spec (not my shiny new car)

Not likley.I did a few club races with POC and PCA about ten years ago and felt like I got it out of my system. You ever hear about washed-out parents pushing their kids through sports with a vengence? That might be me.Just kidding.Erik grew up at club races and figured out who really has talent and they are his heros.

"growing up at the track"

Mark,
Speaking of heros, thanks so much for loaning Erik the shop car. My first club race too and at least I'll be mowed down by one of our own. The kid will be fine. He can out drive several of the established drivers, no doubt. I'll be happy to have a front seat for learning a thing or two from Erik before he leaves me in the dust!

Well, it looks like SP1 is growing by yet another at the speedway :). Now, if I can just find my car under all that stuff in garage, I saw it there a few months ago... :?
