San Diego racers take top spots at POC 4-hour enduro

Bill Klasiers 77 911 twin-turbo won overall with his son Kent and co-driver Ures Gretner at the wheel.Kenny Rumbah and Jerry Roche took second and I saw Pete Yousco and Mark Foley up on the podium for a class win.Feel free to correct me on any details I might have missed.
In the last 15 minutes of the race I think the top three were on the same lap.The race was finished at 10:15pm with no cautions and minimal incidents.I have been going to this race and pitting (even co-driving) since 1995.It is always a great one to hit as a spectator or a driver.
The pace for the Klasier car was like a sprint race and the drivers did a great job keeping the car in one piece and setting the fast lap at 124.0

Mark,
May I add that the Killer Bee won the GT2 Class (which was the largest and most competitive Class in the Cup Race on Sunday)and Jim Copp placed 3rd, unfortunately getting passed in the final lap by another GT2 competitor. Roland Schmidt raced well in GT2, considering it was the first time he'd been in his new car!!Bill Dawson was doing going great in GT1, as usual, until an oil leak.
On a bittersweet note, the Killer Bee set a POC GT2 track record in the Time Trial on Sunday (in miserable conditions) with a 1:25.8 only to find out later that it didn't count (got DQed) because the senile driver couldn't count to two and did one too many laps!!!
Oh well, there's always June!

Anyway, a very good showing by all the PCASDR drivers!!

Congrats to all the PCASDRs for a very strong showing.

JHP - Great win in GT2. I guess Jim owes you a cigar on that one. Busy guy in retirement - thrash to repair Fontana damage, test and tune fiasco at Willow and BW.

I guess Roland is after you guys seriously with a new car. Details?

Thanks, Pete.
Jim missed 2nd place by a whisker. Shoulda, coulda taken a more defensive line to block the guy who passed him on the last lap. He'll remember that for next time, I'm sure.
Roland's gotta tell his own story. I think he likes his new car (Chris Burns' old car), but it's gonna take a while to get used to it. I predict that by the end of the year, Rolly will be right up there at the front where we expect him to be!
The question is, what's next for YOU now that you got the bug (which I assume you did at Fontana)??

Well, yes I did enjoy CFOS and exposure to WTW racing. Time commitments are tough but I'm shooting for the home town DE in May and a busy June with POC racer's clinic on the 9th and Spring Mtn the 16th.
