Hi all.
I joined recently so I could drive my brother-in-law's (Gunter Enz) car at an AX. It's a 1989 951, and I had a ball running the April event. That car (bone stock) understeers while trail braking so badly that the only way I could get it to rotate was to back it in with the gas on, dirt track style. It was a hoot.
I guess I should have joined pcasdr a long time ago, as I've had one Porsche or another for 30 years. I bought my present car, a 1986 944 in 1987. It only has 60k or so miles at this time, a garage queen. Too many toys to play with them all.
I was a semi pro motorcycle road racer for more than 20 years, and raced dirt track for 10 years before that, so I've been around tracks all my life, just not cars very much.
I'll be running the May 26th AX with my nephew (Andrew Enz), so see you there!

Welcome to the club Dave. You will have a blast. I joined the club a little over a year ago and have had an absolute blast in and out of the car. There are always things to do at the Auto X's so pitch in and you will meet many knowledgeable, friendly and helpful people. There are quite a few competitive 944 drivers so you should consider running yours. See you there!
