How many 944 spec class cars this Saturday?

A place to hang out and discuss all things Porsche.

Still have to disagree with the statement that spec 944's get some of the fastest times, keep trying :banghead: .

Maybe Tim, or someone else, will prove me wrong tomorrow, but I think the specs should play with each other and not worry about being the fastest cars out there.

Excuses, excuses. Me keep trying???

Besides, I didn't say "fastest times", :nono: I said "best times." Define 'best." It's all open to interpretation. (This is the Forum, afterall.....)

Geez, give it up Dan....now you're sounding like Clinton....

"It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. If the--if he--if 'is' means is and never has been, that is not--that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement....Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true."

Well, we do play with each other...and we play nicely. We even park together. I want to be down there at 6:30am tomorrow. San Diego's newest 944 spec car got signed off today for a shakedown run at tomorrow's AX.
...maybe it'll be a top 10 car then?
As I recall, my top 10 finish was the subject of a Witness article, as well as, an article in the Tribune....(101.5 KGB sniff of superiority), due to the fact that my dad and I both finished in the top 10. :P

Jad,

You and your dad need to use Martin's manager and agent. Maybe then you'd get an article written. By the way was it you who mentioned you got TTOD.

I think we ended up with about 10-11 cars/drivers?

Greg Sharp
Debbie Sharp and Jackie were in spec cars, but were running in the GP class.
Morgan Trotter was running his ex-James Wilson 924S.
I'm told we had the biggest class at the event?
It's growing... :D

No, not this time around. The best practice lap I cut was a 105.01. There was a 104 in the car, as is, for sure, but on my last timed lap, the engine wouldn't rev above 5,000 rpm in two places where I needed it to. Then, it went to redline across the finish line? This car needs a little more sorting out before it gets really quick, but I'll amke that happen. Kinda loud right now, too! I don't believe that 3" exhaust is improving anything but the noise level?
Anyway, Jad, I think I needed about 2 more seconds to get into the top 10?
