FS: 8" and 9.5" x 17" track rims--late offset

I have a very nice set of lightly used 17" HRE alloy wheels for sale that would be perfect for a track setup on a 944, 968, Boxster or 993. They are the classic HRE 540 series 3-piece forged wheels, which are very light and strong. The centers are painted gold and the polished outer lips are in perfect shape, with no curb rash. Offsets are 43mm on the 8s and 55mm on the 9.5s (backspacing is 6-1/8" and 7-3/8" respectively). I was going to use them on my early 911 with spacers, but they would fit better on a later car, so if someone local could use them, I would let them go for $1600 for the set. They are over $3,000 new from HRE, and even the CCWs are about $2400 in these sizes.

Edited my ad today--Steve G. test fit the wheels on a 964 last week w/ 245F and 275R tires and found that they won't quite fit a 964--a liitle too much offset in the rear and not quite enough in the front. We test fit them on a late 944, though, and they would fit very well, especially if you run a couple degrees negative camber in the front. They would be perfect on a 968. AFAIK, they were originally made for a 993, so they should also fit Boxsters, I believe. Come on over and test fit them on your car if you're interested, they are still available, and very nice wheels for the money, I have to say.
