Wow! "New Dad" Kris U. did quite well this time out. Nice going, dude! You cooked 'em.

Well I got to break in my new car and me along with it, I don't recomend being out of the saddle too long, I took home a lot of souvenir gravel from around the track as a result. Unfortunately Steve G. had to eat some of that souvenir gravel too, sorry about that Steve!

Thanks for posting this. It is one of my better photos :roflmao: I was overdue for a shower.

It was a great event, but I still don't like the slow infield! Congratulations to Kris on winning KI. I hope to see you in my mirrors at Buttonwillow.

Results

Postby Robert on Tue Oct 02, 2007 10:40 am

Results are up on the Zone 8 site now, http://zone8.pca.org/results/2007/TT/Z8093007.htm. I've sent them in to SDR as well but they don't appear to have posted as of yet.

Thanks to everyone who came. Great turnout with 70 drivers, lots of track time and perfect weather.

That was quite a lapse of mental concentration John. As I watched you drive off it almost looked like ice racing the way the gravel was flying... But even the best of us have occasional moments we'd like to forget about; unfortunately for you I had the video camera on for every run session...
Looking like Driver Dinner cocktail hour entertainment.
No need to thank me, that's what friends are for.
Hope the car is OK... sure is pretty!

If not for Steve's video there would be no evidence. John has probably cleaned and repainted his car already. Beautiful car BTW

Calling that stuff "gravel" is putting it mildly. More like a rock quarry. Don't ask how I know.

I certainly enjoyed the bigger track and the challenge in learning it. Hope we can get a date next year.

Well Pete, both you and Steve are right in that Steve has the video (which he showed me Saturday), and the gravel is more lock rock. the car held up pretty well considering, however I will have to repaint the side skirts, they are pretty well rock blasted right down to the raw fiberglass!
Thanks for pointing out the car looked good, much appriciated!
