Yah, only eighteen thousandths of a second away from TTOD, Burl. Did you blink at the wrong time? Look at 4th thru 7th place, though--only sixteen thousandths between all four of them! That's some close racing.

Good job again by the autox team. It was another great course and smooth running event. I really enjoyed it.

Driving Monica's 912 ( with 2-year old 195/50/15's) in GS/S, I squeaked out 6th place, and in the 40's on the BRI.

Too much fun!!!

(Had I run in AS/S, I would have nailed 11th on the BRI :shock:

, moving ever so close to the coveted top 10 BRI. :roll:

I had a great time, too. Thanks to all the volunteers, early and late, who made the day so great. Special thanks to Gary Burch, my partner in A-X crime, who was responsible for the track design, and who, as always, worked his Bu++ off. Thanks, Dude!

Wonderful day! Thanks to everyone who puts in the extra effort all year long. It was a GREAT event! Everyone seemed to learn to like the track after some time with it.

Anyone notice all the 6 cylinder air cooled cars behind the 4 cylinder, front engine car with water in it? Ohhhhh, that was sooooo nice to say.

In all seriousness, it's the fun I have with everyone that changes it from a fun weekend to a GREAT event. The camaraderie and competition is top notch in our club. Thanks everyone for helping, teaching, pushing and playing.

As I always announce to the gang, - losers wil make excuses and so here goes :oops:

1) I had Daytona in the car and his slobber gets the gear shift wet
2) No Hoosiers

3) Duh, I only thought I had to beat Clark
4) Spilled decaf soy latte, had to stop to re-froth
5) So busy smack talking David (who did get bitch slapped by Martin) that I forgot to go fast

That was excellent driving by Tom Tweed.

I noticed that he beat the time of all of the SS boxters and 996s. That's quite the feat considering he is driving a car (just as it came off the showroom floor) that is 37 years old.

Tom: If I might ask, what tires are you running?

Has anybody else noticed that Neil is getting faster and faster? He broke into the top 10 and the top 10 BRI. What happens if we give him enough track to make use of those turbos? Nice showing Neil!

Martha, I will have to look at it later on but you do bring up a good point. When I receive the results sometimes there are blank fields for times and sometimes there are DNF's or DNR's as text. I have some value codes (9999, 9998, 9996) that indicate certain types of values. 9996 is a rain out while 9998 is a DNF. When they are blank I tend to make them 9999 which is a catch all. I need to look at the code to determine what the point calculator is doing when it sees a 9999.

Can we agree upon values in the file you sent me? Like what the blank means, or is a blank a DNR?

Thanks, Alan! I love it when I can beat up on the newer models.

Actually, my '67S does have upgraded (18mm) anti-roll bars from the '74-77 model years, which is a 2 point modification, and aftermarket adjustable spring plates with plastic bushings, which are no points, but make it easier for Steve to corner balance. The car has always been a driver, not a garage queen. It has over 235,000 miles on it and is still very solid.

The Falken Azenis in 205/50-15. A great buy at $275 for all four, mounted and balanced at Import Tire. I'm thinking about putting some Kumho 710s on it and see if I can get into the top 10 one of these days with a 2-liter stock car. :shock:

Yah, I noticed! I asked him after the event what got in to him. He was telling me about all his mistakes, but he had to have done a few things right to get the improvements in his times that I've seen lately.
