Thanks 4est.
It was a hairy lap though.
I turn a 2:10 on my first lap then pushed a bit harder to reach my goal of going sub 2:10.
I think the lap time would have been much better had I not gone totally sidwayd out of Sunset.
I have Video of it and I ll post it as soon as I can.

What an exhilarating weekend! It was nice to actually complete this TT (unlike the last one I tried when my tranny failed). David Gardner saved my whole weekend by loaning me a set of his tires when one of mine terminated and the shop didn't have a good replacement. Thanks David! :beerchug:

And the lesson was learned - be prepared. I guess I'll be holding on to my 3rd set of wheels I was planning on selling. :? (this really is a sickness isn't it.)

Also, it was interesting (ok, frustrating) to realize how slow I am on a real track. I can't wait for the next one now though as I really don't want to be the slowest 993 out there for long.

And as for Tawfik and Gardner's times; very very impressive. Not to mention all the other fast times posted.

Shannon,

Glad to be of help to you with your tire issue. I didn't want to see you miss another TT event. I'll probably live to regret it next year as you become faster and start beating me on a regular basis. :( I seriously doubt you'll ever be the slowest 993 at a TT in the future. Welcome to the next level. I look forward to see you as one of the regular 993 drivers next year. By the way, your time was just a bit quicker than my first trip to Button Willow.

Yes indeed IT IS! All i want for christmas is a new set of wheels with HOOSIERS on them. That's sick! I swear I'll be growing facial hair by the end of 2008.
