More Time Trial Fun!

Hey Time Trialers -

POC is having a three-day Time Trial at the Las Vegas Outside Road Course (2.4 miles) October 24-26.
This is a REALLY fun track - I personally like it as much as BWRP. IMHO it is technical, but not too busy.
PCA ran there with a CR and DE in May, so there may be others who can chime in.

Friday offers SIX (6) Run Sessions, plus several more hours Saturday and Sunday. Weather should be ideal,
Plus there's that city nearby with some entertainment...

Perfect timing between Spring Mountain and Buttonwillow. Did I mention TONS of track time (over five hours)?

Before that rush of Spring Mountain wears off, check it out at the POC calendar page;

I've heard great things about that track. Wonder if it's possible to get a Friday/Saturday Vegas driving fix, and still make it back for the Sunday AX for season points? As of this posting, crude oil is around $89.00 a barrel, and regular gas is running $3.35/gal. Could be a question of affordable time ..... :roll:

Just registered for the event and here are a couple more points:

1 Registration so far is light so that means plenty of space on the track.
2 Since most of PCAers are not POC race licensed, that means running in the White or YLW group. However, at Laguna Seca many of our fast drivers who had to run in the white group were very disapointed by the lack of cooperation on track for passing. I have pointed this out to the the CDIs and our friend Martin S who spoke to the chief track marshall and they will be very strict.
People not giving point bys or ignoring the passing flag will be black flagged and forced to do push ups!
3 There are 3 host hotels, one which is the Orleans and has plenty of parking for trailers. I just booked through Expedia and the rates were much lower than the hotel website and very reasonable.
4 It's Vegas Baby! You can actually have decent food and entertainment at night. :rockon:

As Tawfik mentions, we will be watching more closely for the Road Hogs who don't "Get" the passing advisory flag. I have discussed this with Kati, our Chief Steward as well as Jackie Ginsbug who is POC's Director of the TT series.

Also note, POC offers PCA members a nearly equivalent $100 off the event....for the first time Time Trialer, you get your first years POC membership N/C...that is a $95.00 savings.
