Diet?
Race seats and throwing the carpets out is a diet, that car has an eating disorder...
It's funny, I was sitting in the timing tower during timed runs talking to a newer member pointing to your car and others (Sharp's 951/Schmidt's 993) saying how I remembered when they could have entered and placed well in a concours... :(

I remember looking at my car right after the roll cage was installed. DQ looked at me and said "You "explative" a perfectly good 993." I still have pictures of the car from when I brought it home from Pioneer 7 years ago. It was a really nice 993. What have I done? :banghead:

It drives really well on the track. I just need to match the cars ability.

If you could see my car as it sits right now... It was a beautiful car when the wife bought it for me. It is sitting on jackstands right now (post monoballs and springs but pre Mirage align/corner balance) with Getty +2 Fenders and an Evo1 bumper sort of bolted on the front (without paint). It is in a million pieces and covered in dust. Oh yeah, it'll be ready for BW....

Hey Forrest,
Glad to hear you'll make BW? :surr: . Sounds like all the times were faster this year at SMMP, sounds like alot of dieting going, some help from Jae and better driving. Wish I could have made it, BW for sure. You'll get to see the pumpkin up close if you can make it bro.

I was slower by two seconds from last year with no major changes to the car except poor tires and a rusty driver. Kudo to the gaggle of 993ers and many others out there who have really stepped it up. Lots of car improvements and many faster drivers. I figured to be close to a top ten time but I was nowwhere close.

I was really impressed with the track improvements, tunnel access under the front straight, curbing that was beautifully done with no holes outside the curbs (WSIR and BW take note), repaving some bumpy sections plus permanent showers & bathrooms.

BTW I was passed twice by the gulf GT 40 on the road to the track. Revenge was getting the point by on the track!

Yes, and in keeping with that 'everybody's equal' theme I was told those were co-ed showers...

Well, they were used as "coed" as there is a lock on the men's door! And now we are all very clean...
