Instructors: DE day/ National Certification

Postby Dan Chambers on Thu Dec 04, 2008 4:30 pm

Calling all Instructors!

Curt Yaws has posted a notice on the Announcements page regarding the DE/National Certification event on December 14th. So far the CDI's have gotten limited responses from the Instructors. If you are an Instructor, please read Curt's notice under Announcements. Hint: If you are a current AX/TT Instructor, the day is ....(ahem) free of charge , and you get National Certification Training to boot. :beerchug:

Please let us know if you can attend: CDI@PCASDR.ORG.

As part of being a member of the "Instructor Corps", you have the opportunity to have a free day of driving and training. Don't miss out! The cost is right! :D

If you are considering becoming an Instructor, I strongy recommend you pay the low-cost fee and attend this event (Please note: minimum driving experience is required to participate in this event. Please review the Rules page to be certain you and your vehicle qualify to participate in a DE event at the Q).

The local CDI's hope the Instructors take advantage of this special day, and come out for the last driving event at the Q for 2008.

See you there!

Oops! Left hand didn't know about the right hand. My bad. :banghead:

Okay, so Chuck Sharp has sent an email to all qualified Instructors regarding this DE day/National Certification. Instructors, please be sure to respond to his email in order to participate. Your response is your registration for the event. Even a "no" or "I don't know/I'm not sure yet" helps us plan, so please respond.

Non-Instructors (drivers), there's still room for you to sign up, too. The fees are low, and there will be plenty of seat-time.

Sorry for the confusion. :? Now, back to your regularly scheduled program. :burnout:

What about starting the process to become an instructor the day before? I am interested in doing just that.

Brian:

Please see one of the CDI's at the AX. We will explain the process, have the initial exams available, and get the process started should you meet the initial qualifications. I welcome all those interested in joining the Corps of Instructors to talk to us. We welcome you interest and enthusiasm. (For Time Trial Instructor qualifications, please contact the TT-CDI, Jack Miller.)

Thanks for your interest, Brian.

I’ll be bringing the club trailer to the Q Friday evening and back to storage in Kearney Mesa Sunday evening. I’ll need to get my car and the truck back to Encinitas Sunday. If anyone is sharing a car Sunday and could drive a car north at the end of the day, please PM me or psc993@gmail.com.
Thanks,
Peter

Can't see it in the photo, a pair of 1/8 thick clear plastic covers are taped over the H4 lens.
I hope that tape comes off easy. :beerchug:

Oooh. Very cool! I'll want to check those out. Might be something I could use. Maybe you can tell me where to get them.

These are actually pretty cool.
Would work on all 911s.
Toughest part sometimes is getting the little metal tabs under your headlight ring at about 3 and 9 o'clock.
On the black car I just taped the covers on for this one time.
They are clear, but on an old worn set I painted the inside black for a new look.
Cheap covers too, $30.

First time for me too Mike. Looking forward to it as well.

I have the entire headlight lens made of plastic. Actually bought them from Jae Lee a while back. They look exactly like the real lens. I do like the clear ones you have though, you can paint the backside.
