Heeeellllllooooooo high-HP cars! This is your track. :roflmao: One question: will there be a "Christmas Tree" starting light? Love that "dragster" take-off.

This should be one fast, fun track. Of course, with on and off camber elements, potholes, and other "varients" it may be much, much more technical than it initially appears. :beerchug:

Wish my new tires were in .....

See you there. 8)

Yes, Dan - we are working on a Christmas Tree starting light.
Hey, now that I think of it, John Komer (fellow AX co-chair)who helped with the track design drove dragsters in the past!
Not to worry though, we'll all easily be under 220 mph going into the slalom.
A good exercise is judging your speed and braking to get around by the second slalom cone and carry some speed through the rest.

Actualy, the track design is part of the AX-chair stimulus plan for Porsche drivetrain repair shops.

Make an appointment now for next week and avoid the rush.

I don't know if speed is what you should be worried about Dan. It's the locking up at the end of that drag strip I'd be concerned about if I were you. One of the best photos I've ever seen was the one of your Gulf Car with smoke coming out of both front wheel wells as if it were a 4 alarm fire. :D Could you post that for 'ol times sake? :beerchug:

Ironically, they weren't his tires, they were loaners from me. :banghead: Even more ironic, Dan A. won the raffle for ...... (get ready, I'm not kidding....) A SET OF TIRES! :surr:

So, to be straight about this:

1) Dan get's "free" loaner tires and "Smoked 'em 'cause he had 'em."
2) Get's his picture on the cover of a magazine.
3) Wins a set of tires through a raffle.
4) Wasn't even going to participate because ... he didn't have any old tires.

Man, I need that kind of luck, I tell ya!

Hope to see you Saturday, Dan. :burnout:

Sheez - I don't get it.

Dan, you need your brakes with that 3.2?

Erik, you need all 6 cylinders to win?

Hey Dan! Fronts were the ones that smoked in the pic, they were 710's...yours were the rears. Thanks again for those by the way!

Ah, I stand corrected.

BTW: any chance I could "hitch a ride" during one of your practice runs on Sat? I'm still trying to figure out this whole "Lawn-Blower engine in the wrong place" thing.

C-ya!

Absolutely, Anytime Dan. If I am not instructing that would be easier. Although Erik would be a much better gauge on how to drive a 911 fast...
