Does this mean I'm going to finally see the end of the "It's your turbo HP that's making the difference" complaints?

I hope not.....the world may fall off it's axis! :beerchug:

No, Dave. I'm sure the grief won't end. But I will say, that your KI ... I mean KP ...... I mean KS turbo really stuck to the ol' tarmac fairly well.

+1. When was the last time that 944 Spec class was won by over a 3-second margin? Of course, Sean and John Kincaid were MIA, but a 1:26 in that class speaks for itself! The two 914s in the 1:25s represented outstanding drives by George and Herb, too, IMHO. I have to give a shout out to my buddy George Taylor, our tech chair, for finishing in the top 10 for the first time in both raw time (#6) and on the BRI (#10).

As for Dan A., he pulled one out when he needed to in timed runs, and can finally crow from the top of the heap for awhile. After watching Roland run a 1:21 in practice, and Dan never getting under 1:23, I thought he wouldn't make it, but when the pressure was on, he turned it up a notch. Good to see an old AM car on top again for once, Dan, even if you did have to ditch the traditional look of the Fuchs wheels to do it. The Ultima was happy to stay home in the garage with the new set of tires you bought for it.

Hey Bill, sorry you caught me complaining about the track. It wasn’t so bad after we put the better tires on.

I got bit hard by the 911 this time - just makes me want to learn to drive the car better.

The times were so close that everyone should be happy. Thanks to everyone who helped as usual, and also Tom Brown for spending a Sunday making sure the timing was working.

Thanks Tom, I usually "eat Crow" after trash talking the entire event... I too thought Roland had it sewn up , but he couldn't duplicate it in the second practice or timed , so I snuck in under the wire by a quarter of a second...
