Instructor day

Postby LUCKY DAVE on Sat Nov 07, 2009 1:02 pm

So, what's the plan for instructor day? What amusing/embarrassing torture have our evil CDI's been staying up late inventing?
Does it involve balancing eggs on the hood while spinning three full revolutions?
Timed runs wearing clown shoes?
A DE governed by the "Ben hur" rule book?
DE school?
Drinking BEFORE driving?

tiny minds want to know

Geeez. What a reputation we've earned .... :banghead:

Mark Rondeau has been busy planning this event, with limited support from me, Chuck, Joel Bowman. If you really want an idea of what to expect, think about these three movies combined:

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World

Mad Max

Fast an Furious - the Original

And throw in Gone in 60 Seconds plus Le Mans just to round it off.

One thing I can tell you: the format will be based on an Autocross format since that is what the CDI's are primarily responsible to cover in the Education/PDS program at the Q. This is a Q-event focused program. For big tracks, there will be a different format at a later date.

More details to follow ....

Hi Guys,
What are the qualifications to become an instructor. I'm running HPDE 4/TT with NASA. PCA for 6 years with TT permit for 3.
I would like to become part of the team, if others feel I'm ready.
How to pursue and help give back + learn more?

We require a minimum of 8 AX days, a written test, two instructor check out rides and a ceremony with a goat that I can't really discuss on the forum. I sent you a PM.

If anyone else is interested, send an email to cdi@pcasdr.org. Some of the most fun can be had in the right hand seat. :burnout:
