At one time, it probably was somebody's cool project to turn it into a 'turbo-look' car. Probably an "update" in the late '70s after the real turbos came out in '76, maybe? Nowadays, it's a pity to see a scarce, classic 911 long-hood car butchered up. Nobody back then foresaw the run-up in early 911 prices, especially for original, unmolested examples. Same thing can be said for the people who bought 356 Speedsters for $3500, turned them into race cars, drove 'em hard, put 'em away wet, and sold them cheap when they were wrung out. Who wudda thunk they'd be worth 6 figures in good, original condition today?

Could be some cool parts on the car...I wonder what type of wheels it has?

Yep...just what I need...another car project.
