Robert, this language from your email appears to be more restrictive than what's in the CARB memo at the link you provided:
"The Speedway will no longer allow the pumping of high octane gas (which, at the Speedway is either the 98 unleaded NASCAR blend or 110 leaded) into anything other than a “Real Race Car”, defined as a *factory purpose-built race car*, that is *unregistered* (i.e., no license plate and never registered previously) and has a *wide fuel fill opening* (i.e., no funnels allowed, no converted street cars, etc.; standard unleaded fuel fill openings will not work). "
and from the CARB memo:
"“Racing vehicle” is defined as a competition vehicle not used on public highways. Further, if you can drive it to the track, it is not a racing vehicle."
It looks like Cal Speedway is imposing restrictions they feel are prudent to cover themselves.
My car is not registered, is not street legal, and has a fuel cell with a wide opening. CARB seems to think it's a "Racing vechicle." But it's not a factory built race car and was previously a registered street car, so the Speedway disagrees with CARB.
I need 110, which Trackside is apparently not providing. I usually bring enough for a weekend, but more govt regulations are rarely a good thing. Maybe it's time for that 3.6 upgrade so I can keep up with Dan on 91.
