I was just watching the Barrett Jackson auction. They put the very first Corvette Carbon 2011 LS7 Z06 on sale. It sold for only $270,000. Of course for that you got to help build the engine and watch it come off the line. So Martin, when are you ordering yours?

Only two colors. Some sort of Competition Orange and a Carbon Blue which is really gray. Hey Martin don't be left out.

Only $270,000? I'll take two :roflmao: :roflmao:
Corvette has a sneaky habit of putting on $500 worth of options and charging $15,000 for some special edition. These guys buy them and actually think they are going to go up in value. I always say that a "Limited Edition" is only limited by the number of people stupid enough to buy them.
But then again, I have seen Porsche do some similar tricks with options.
Don't even get me started on the 996 GT3 $2,000 "sport exhaust" option. They just cut out the baffles :banghead:

Hey, Martin. That sport exhaust without the baffles is a weight saving feature. That's why it costs so much.

Is that where the term "less is more" comes from??
