Back Roads Tour was a Success!

Thank you to everyone who showed up and to everyone who volunteered their time to make this happen.
When we first started organizing the Tour, we expected 30ish cars to show up. We had 70 cars attend inlcuding one late comer!!!
That was an bsolutely amazing turnout. Despite a few wrong turns and the groups getting split up a bit I think the whole thing was a huge success. Probably the majority of the members who attended were on their first tour. Hopefully we will see all of you back again for the next tour this summer.

Thank you again,
- Peter Dorey

It was a good day, well organized and fun. Some great roads!!! Scheduling did not allow me to make the lunch, I made a U-turn at the end of the Mesa Grande leg and drove the whole thing back the other way. I met a photographer on S6, he is a free lance guy and he stated he got alot of pics of the group on the way up. He will post them on his web site at

The tour today really was great fun - lots of drivers with big grins!

There was another photographer on Palomar Mountain today who captured quite a few good images of Porsches doing what they do best....

Go to http://www.evilempirephotos.com and take a look under the Palomar 4/25 date.

Many thanks to Tour chairs Ralph Turner, Peter Dorey and Mike "Mad-Dog" Brown for managing 70 cars on a tour planned for 35 ............ without incident - which ended up with a lot of people having an absolute blast and remembering why they bought their Porsches in the first place!!

If you have comments on todays tour - or maybe photo's, please e-mail them to tours@pcasdr.org and we'll put together an article for the Windblown Witness newsletter.

Cheers! Keith V.
