Please post your dream track map

Postby Mmagus on Tue May 18, 2010 10:10 pm

All this talk of what a great track we had last Saturday has got me to thinking. What is your dream track? Laguna Seca? Sebring? Le Mans? Road Atlanta? orrr....? Please your dream track map or a link to it so we can all enjoy. For me Laguna is high on the list, I have driven it virtually for hours in video games, but need to get out on it someday.

Oooo good idea. Name your dream corner/section too! Laguna...the Corckscrew, yes I know I know "typical", Actually I always enjoyed the sweeping left leading to the uphill before the corckscrew when running it on Gran Turismo.

If you are having trouble deciding, check these out!

++ on Spa, Nurburgring and Laguna. I also like Mt Panorama, talk about elevation change! The Isle of Man TT course would also be awesome, BUT NOT ON A BIKE!

Turn 8 at Willow. Those guys that were trying to stuff you back at 3/4/5 are suddenly gone. Turn 8 separates the men from the boys.
Turn one at -now gone - Riverside, same thing (if the class you're in has enough power to make the bike wobble insanely over the bridge when held WFO).
Ascot Park when the track prep crew was on it's game, there was so much grip you could drag your elbows. And the wall is right there.....

My favorite was the 3.2 mile 20-turn road course at the old Ontario Motor Speedway. I ran eight time trials with my '67 911S on that track with PCA and POC and it was more exciting each time I ran. I especially enjoyed being on the track with Otis Chandler and John Thomas driving Chandler's two 917's as they screamed past me on the main straight heading from turn 20 through turn 2 on the banked oval.
