Looking for a 944/924S

Postby Mmagus on Thu Dec 23, 2010 8:19 am

I have a friend who is looking for a 944 as a streetable track car. He is trying to be as economical as possible. A good engine and suspension are highest on the list with, decent body would be nice, interior quality coming in last, but a race seat/harness set-up would be a bonus . The current plan is to run Stock class or CS16-15. He is checking all the right places but I figured putting up a call out here for him couldn't hurt. If you have one you want to let go of post it or drop me a PM please.

Have a Blessed Season!

you should try Tim Comeau at CRE,619-994-0919. He has cars of his own, as well as info on many other cars in the area that are for sale.

There is an earky car on Craigslist in El Cajon for 750. Says clutch hydraulics are needed-that could be a lot of things from bleeding to master/slave cylinders to clutch replacement. Rest of car looks pretty clean.

Hey guys,
We know many of the 944's and 924S's around town. With 160 local 944 type contacts, many of them call me first before putting their cars on Craig's List. We also have a waiting list of buyers and we're happy to help anybody who wants in on the 944 experience. We do pre purchase inspections and just "saved" two guys from some bad buys. We buy crashed cars for parts too so we have a ton of used parts. We've also started saving "clips" or sections of 944's for crash repair.
Let us know how we can help you out. :)

BTW, the $750 944 that Brian H. mentioned above is on our lot right now. The guy who owns it spent $1,500 on it.....no clutch pedal, no oil pressure, engine leaking bad, body rough, interior rough. The best thing about the car was the seats and steering wheel. I wish I could have helped the guy BEFORE he plunked his money down. It's going to the junkyard this morning.
If you're looking at a 944 or 924S on Craigslist, chances are, we already know something about the car.
