SAN DIEGO AX ON TV !

You may recall that about 6 mnths ago there was a National Geographic film crew at the AX. They said they were getting footage for a show called Break It Down on National Geographic, but couldn't tell us when it would be shown. I understand that it will be shown on MAY 12 at 7pm on the National Geographic channel (that's 718 for me on Time-Warner). The show is about an auto dismantler in LA that specializes in Porsche, and I suppose they needed some footage of living Porsches for the show. They were there for hours filming, but that may come down to a few minutes on the show.

I watched the episode and was a little disappointed when by the middle there had been only about a 5-second scene of the autox that included a quick clip of Don Auten's car, but at the end, there was finally a segment of the "grudge match" between the Trans Am and the Porsche that had a lot of content from the Q event, including a "speaking part" by Mark Kinninger even! Not sure I agree with the conclusion that the 'Murrican muscle car could hold its own with the Porsches. :P

For those who missed it, my TWC program guide is showing it scheduled again on 5/19 at 3:00 and 7:00PM.
