Hi all,
My youngest kid Jeff graduated from SDSU last weekend, used to drive a beat up 944 in high school and would love to do this autocross with me. I'm reluctant to let him drive my new Spyder (since I myself nearly hit a curb a couple of autocrosses ago with it). Aren't there a couple of club members who rent a 944 spec with instruction for an autocross? That would be a cool graduation present for Jeff.

And if anyone has a job opening for a hard working theater and film graduate that would be cool too!!! Howard

I rented a 944 (with Tim as instructor) a few times and I would HIGHLY encourage you to try that. He is a great instructor, and his "arrive and drive" rental is a great deal.
Note - 944s have no ABS or rev limiter, so be sure you and your son are comfortable with that. There can be an additional charge for flat spotted tires and fried engines ...

I also rented one of Tim's 944s two times several years ago before I had him build me a 944spec car. I had been driving a BMW at other events but wanted to test the waters of the PCA before changing cars and clubs to Porsche.

Are you sure about the rev. limiter, I test mine every day
You have to have limiters on cars that run FLAT OUT
