August 7th Autocross Results

Congrats Chris, a well deserved BRI victory, and concur with Martin's comment, very smooth driving indeed. Also those NT-01s sure must be helping, but the fact that we played our part in throwing down and roping the track, probably had nothing to do with it?? I mean we followed the rule of thumb, narrower on the straight, widen it up for the corners right.. Or was it the other way around?? hehe

All in all though, some really great driving from folks yesterday, my cousin included. I'd like to congratulate him (Abrahim) for hooking up some very nice times during timed runs. He ended up .8s behind me, by far his best ever result, and he beat Keith V too!!

Martin & Jennifer, it is great seeing that Cayman of yours hustling around the course, and its pretty cool to see that 3 of top 10 places were taken by a Reinhardt prepared car

It takes .3 seconds to blink
.09 seconds is hardly a butt kicking but I will take it. It also helps that you have built me a very strong 914 Hassan the NT-01are a definate plus!! and throwing the track get to see it from every angle..like doing four track walks

I'll add to the congrats as well, and thank you Chris for an outstanding job of instructing my 19 y/o son Matthew on Sunday. Matthew and I are still newbies in our 914 and it was great that Matthew could ride in Chris' car during his practice laps and get instruction from a skilled 914 pilot. He talked about Chris' driving and instruction all day! He's hooked big time! I also want to thank Mark R for his excellent instruction with me. I had no idea 944's were that fast or smooth! We had a blast all day. Matt goes back to UCSB soon so that might be it for this summer; at least I can get some more events in and maybe catch him next time we run together.

On another note--were there any other photos taken at the 8/7 event? I saw the Reinhardt's pics, but Greg was at Parade and no one else has posted any. I would love to have a pic of the Blue Electric Bus hulking over the little weeny sports cars in the grid, or on track. (Sorry in advance for the bouncy video, but I just rigged up a broomstick between the seats for a camera mount and it was flexing a bit.)
