AX Information

Hi everyone.

In an effort to get the AX's started on time, avoid inordinately long driver's meetings and keep things running smoothly we will be implementing a few things to help in this regard.

** The Trailer will be focusing on only walk up registration matters until after the drivers meeting. If you have any other requests, questions, or issues please wait until after the drivers meeting to come to the Trailer window.

** If you have any announcements that you want made during the driver's meeting, please email them to ax@pcasdr.org at least a couple of days before the AX and we will make them for you. During the Driver's meeting we will be following a written agenda will have only the AX Chair, Safety Chair, Corner Working Chair and President speak. If you feel we miss something that has to do with safety please approach the AX chair who isn't at the mic and let them know rather than coming up and waiting for the mic to address the crowd yourself.

We will be doing the above starting with the December AX and continuing throughout the year. Thank you VERY much for helping us with this.

Since Timing isn't in your list of speakers, please include in your talks:

Timing:
1. Numbers MUST be visible ALL DAY and MUST be in contrasting colors. For two-driver cars, put the number for the driver in the FIRST timed runs on.
2. Don't tailgate at the finish. If you cross less than 2 seconds behind the car ahead, your time will not register and you will screw up timing for everyone behind you as well.
3. CHECK THE TRAILER for your Class, Number, and Driver information. Whatever you entered online or previously does not matter - what is on the trailer door is reality. If it isn't correct, see us EARLY in the day. Someone always shows up in timed runs with the wrong number, and we will just pull you out and send you back to the pits to get it fixed.

Also - you may want to announce at each event - "Your wristband color is NOT your run group color. Your run group color is the colored dot that was in your envelope." We had a couple of newbies show up at the trailer at the last AX still thinking a yellow wristband = yellow run group.

Thanks,
Kim

Thanks Kim. I recently recieved a matrix/agenda that was generated a few years back and while some of the timing items you mentioned are included not all of them were. It is very helpful to get a bit more detail, if you would like to make the announcements in the timing/timed Runs section of the Agenda we would be happy to have you do so. If not we will be sure to cover them.

Thanks! :beerchug:

One potential problem for the next autocross is going to be track setup.

Racelegal is having a drag race on Friday night. So we will NOT be able to set up the track the day before.

It would be helpful if we had some volunteers show up early Saturday to throw the track.
