Looking for 16 x7,8" wheels

Postby sean996 on Mon Feb 18, 2013 7:20 pm

Hey all,

I'm looking for another set of wheels for my 911 on which I can run street/competition tires so I can drive down to the Q vs. trailer. I'd like to run 16 x 7's on the front, 8's on the rear so I can share tires with my X car.

I currently have two sets of race wheels (one set BBS, the other brand Bogart) that are 16 x 8's front and 10's rear. I guess I could mix and match and use the 8's on the front and rear but I thought someone might be looking for something bigger at the same time I'm looking for something smaller. I don't think I have the budget for straight out purchase of Fuchs but who knows ... maybe there's a deal out there?

If there's a tire that will go on my 16 x 10's that's a street/comp tire let me know. I think I've been spoiled by the cheap rubber for these 8" rims though :).

cheers and thanks for any leads,

Sean

I am guessing you are talking about early offset wheels since they are 16" and you mentioned Fuchs, but your handle is for 996 which takes the late offset wheels. :banghead:
More specificity about what you need will help.

Sorry for the confusion for the handle ... old name.

My car is a 73 911s that has had a wide body conversion and a 3.2 with the original MFI :). She needs to stretch her legs ... been in the trailer too long ....

So help me out gents.

cheers

They sell wheels, but for your best bargain check out their classifieds for 911 parts in their Forum section.

I just picked up a set of 17" Ronal wheels 7.5" F and 9.5" R for $400 in early offset.
17" wheels provide a greater choice of tires compared to 16" also.
