Is your spouse ready to join you in motorsports?

Postby SDGT3 on Tue Sep 16, 2008 8:59 am

There are a few couples in the PCA SDR that do the track thing together. I can't get my wife to go out on a hot lap with me for some reason. I don't think former F1 driver Riccardo Patrese's wife is going to get into track events either. This is possibly the funniest video I've seen. If your fluent in Italian it's even funnier, but if not, the international sign language will help you follow along. :D

I just showed it to my wife and she thought it was hysterical. Would love to have some of the woman's remarks translated. One of the funniest videos I have ever seen.

That's great!! At least she has a sense of humor about it. Notice how calm he is the entire time. :)

I'm translating right now to my notebook, but she talks so much and so fast, I have to pause and rewind quite a bit. :D I can tell you that there will be some #(*)*#&U(#!! bleeps in the transcript. :roflmao:

I understood the "ah fangul" part. An "F" word comes across in any language.
:roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

The rest of it was probably something like:
Slow down you idiot, we are going to die
aaaah, aaaah, you crazy idiot!

The audio is pretty faint and they have some small talk before it gets really loud.
Starting from the 1:54 mark

Wife: No. Stop

Patrese: (Silence with a grin).

2:08

WIFE: No. your doing it on purpose. Riccardo! Oh, God, Oh God. Really, NO, NO, NO! I'm not enjoying myself. Please, I just wanted to see.....(with a higher pitch) This is not a Formula 1 car. This is not a Formula 1 car for this track. Oh, God, Mamma Mia. Why don't you go slower. Please. Why don't you have respect for a mother with children that are waiting for me at home.

PATRESE: (Silence with a grin).

2:42

WIFE: No. No. Riccardo. NO, NO, GO SLOWER. YOUR CRAZY. LOOK, LOOK PLEASE. PLEASE RICCARDO GO SLOWER. PLEASE go slower.

PATRESE: (Silence with a grin).

2:59

WIFE: Mamma Mia, Riccardo. LET ME OUT. NO. PLEASE, ENOUGH. YOUR A PIECE OF SH!_. GO "F" YOURSELF. YOUR A (BLEEP). (Then a bit of sign language). I told you I didn't want to get in. Please Virgin Mary. Everytime I get in a car with you I want to throw up!!

PATRESE: (Silence with a grin)

After they discover the hidden camera on the dash, she asked him if he knew about it and he denied knowing it was there. He later asked someone in the pit (in English) if they got it on film.

I think we can use that at the next PDS as that is what most of the instructors are thinking with their students! :surr:
