I like the anticipation after the last runs are completed and the car is packed up.
I like sliding my hand into the cold water to find just the right brew, a Pacifico or a Becks
I like the pop and the hiss of the CO2 when I open it
I like the feel of the chilled bottle as I press to my lips
I like the taste of the cool amber fluid as it rolls past my tongue and into my throat
But most of all, I like setting around with my friends, having a cold beer, maybe loading a few cones, and talking about the day.

I really don't get the imposition of one's sense of morality upon others. If I'm not breaking the law, and I am not imposing on your freedoms, please stay out of my business. Whatever happened to personal responsibility? As far as setting an example for young uns (the very few that they are), I think good fellowship is a pretty damn good example, and if a beer is involved among adults, who cares? Give me a break! If beer was removed, would it change my participation in AX's? No. But does a cold beer at the end of a hot day make for more enjoyment? Well...

If you don't want a beer, have a coke.

This topic is the longest thread I have seen sine the driver dinner one a while ago.

Does it really matter? Not to me as having a beer after the AX violates my own PERSONAL set of rules, but I do not care what other's decision may be. If you hold the beer back-the same people will still put stuff in the trailer while others do not. If you roll the beer out first, the same people will still put stuff in the trailer while others do not.

It really doesn't matter-after the AX is a social event and alcohol is a long accepted accessory at social events.

Drink away! It supports my redneck hobby-NASCAR.

Oh my personal rules if you are curious: Never before driving, never the day before I ride my bike, never in front of kids.
