Last one!

In this pic you can see the cam followers (lifters) and the lifter "cradle" or spider that holds them.

I'll have more when we start cutting this case for the larger P+C's.

I'm also working on some canshaft designs and some different bore/stroke combo's. I would like to see a short stroke big bore engine combo (think 2.0 911S engine) ot 8500+ RPM using a 72 stroke (2.5 crank) with 99mm pistons.

We will see.

Right now the late engines are CHEAP to come by.

Thanks for your time. I hope you enjoy the shots.

Great pictures and text Brad. Thanks!

So is it true that these newer water cooled engines are this "throw-away junk, like a Toyota" that all the air cooled guys say? If the engine has a problem, it's not worth rebuilding? Of course, they're usually saying that after explaining why it takes $12,000 to do a proper rebuild on a 125hp 911T engine :D

I personally consider them throw away engines right now because the after market hasnt really stepped up yet for these new engines.

It is also MUCH cheaper to buy 300hp right now than to rebuild that T motor you mentioned. Currently you can buy 300hp stock with 2 year warranty from Porsche for under $7500 depending on if you have a core engine or not (996 engines)

Another reason why people use "throw away".. Porsche just started releasing parts for these engines late last year. You couldnt rebuild them. No parts.

I personally feel they are Porsches future. They are not going away and Porsche has left a lot of room for growth in these new engine cases.

Thanks for the kind words. I love these cars.
