I also understand that there may be a difference between what's sold retail and a race spec for Redline and Amsoil. I think it was Redline.

As David mentioned, it seems there is a slight preference for Redline and Amsoil over Mobil 1 based on some racers realizing higher oil pressures during their driving sessions.

I also change my oil after every significant driving weekend. Maybe the oil can hold up longer, but what about the deposits? I feel $34 is pretty cheap insurance.
