I heard the woman driving the red 993 explain the incident as best she can remember. She was a little high in 2. The car got loose and started to come around so she put both feet in and rode it out. This is the best summary I can make from her comments.

Jackie,

If I wasn't dreaming I remember seeing the front of your car as i was exiting turn 6. How many times did you lose your way? Great job in the enduro by the way.

Hang on there missy. Rumor has it that you made the manditory 5 min pit stop about 2 seconds before a 10 minute full course caution which locked out the entire field from entering the pits. Let's see, you sit while the field does 55mph laps, then they sit while you do full speed laps.

Your thoughts - Genius, Karma or Luck?

My vote is Karma after your trials last year.

I'm going with genius of course! I'm fresh out of karma, so luck was the ticket, for sure. BTW, I tried to spread my 3 spins over 3 days to turns 3,5 and 9 without damage. Thanks to all of you for encouraging me and missing me too!

I would be remiss if I didn't mention the awesome job Jackie did this weekend, especially the Sunday sprint race where she finished first amongst the spec 944s. No pit stops, no luck, just a great drive. Congrats!

Congrats to Jackie, Martin, Dave G and Chuck Sharp in the sprints and enduro's. Watching Chuck battle the brown 944 and change places every other lap was great. You guys (and gal) drove your a**es off and you did SDR proud. I'm looking forward to Motorhead Monday next week. Great job! :beerchug:

Hi guys,

A few more pics from the weekend.

These were taken by Thaddeus Brown, a photography student at Brooks. He was shooting on Saturday, towards the end of the day... and got a GREAT pic of the club race. It's the last one in the gallery:

Also, the folks from the Unlimited Class at La Carrera Panamericana were on hand and shot a TON of photos, also on Saturday. They're up on SmugMug as well. The guys at Unlimited Class do a pretty good biz selling prints, but if you want digital copies, just shoot them an email, and I bet they'll send them along.

Enjoy!
