You can tech at the track, but if there is a problem, then you might not be able to run. If you pre-tech, then there is time to fix stuff.
Examples of past tech issues that cause problems are:
1 loose battery :(
2 stock seatbelts cannot be more than 20 years old :banghead:
3 5 (or more) point belts must be 5 years old or less.
4 loose wheel bearings :surr:
5 Sound - 92 db max :burnout:

Well, you get the idea. Pre tech simplifies things on the day of the event, plus you have more time to get ready rather than spending it in a tech line that you need to be in before 7:30 am

(Note to tech inspectors: Somehow, I didn't mention tires, did I?)

That might be a good idea. Like I said, I don't plan on running the AX anytime soon, but would like to Spectate and maybe I can still do a Tech while I am there? Eventhough I will not run.

All that you mentioned should be good to go, except my 30 year old stock seat belts.

Next years rules proposal For all Time Trial / DE entrants in classes Street Stock and Stock, fully functional DOT approved OEM style 3 point seatbelts are required. Factory belts more than 20 years old, or visibly frayed or damaged at any age, must be replaced with new belts. Replacement seatbelts must be DOT approved. For Autocross any OEM 3 point seatbelt that is free of defects or damage is allowed, regardless of age.

If Andy keeps talking like that we might have to make him a instructor :beerchug: NOT!
