Great vid's Kris. Wow, it's been a while since I've been to Spring Mtn. The "broadened" track/track-out areas and buildings made it unrecognizeable at first. Dang! I gotta go in the fall. That looks too good to miss.

Jackie C., will you be hosting another Saturday PM gathering?

It really showed me how off my turn in were on some of those turns!

I'm glad it helped, but just take it as one input, not gospel; every car/driver pair is slightly different.

Mirage International set this up for me, but I am sure any of the well known shops in town could do so, too, or even DIY. Here are the links:

Kris is right about varied lines, as I was on a completely different line on several sections. I have been trying to find the time to upload my video and data, so hopefully I will get to that soon as it would be an interesting comparison in side by side windows.

I am looking forward to this; since you were turning 29s, I may be able to improve my line, too. :) Your 130 mph at the end of the main straight dominates the 118 that I was able to achieve, but maybe I could pick up a mph or two on the exit of turn two.

Do you have G2X in the Koni car? If so, I can send you my RacePak file for a detailed comparison.

What was the final diagnosis on your drive line failure - hub, axle, diff?

That poor koni challenge drive line couldn't handle the power of that fire breathing motor...

Kris:

Which one do you call "main straight", the "curvy" one between the exit of turn 2 and 4R or the back one between turn 15 and turn 16. From my experience, a faster top speed is achieved on the "curvy" straight between turn 2 and 4R, 118 to 119 for me at the Spring Mountain event last October. 130 mph? In our dreams. Jad is totally out of reach for us.

Between 2 and Ego Check. IIRC, I only hit 112 or so before turn 16.

So we are talking about the same "straight". On the back one before turn 16 I actually get to about 116 mph before I have to brake.

Most of the above broke as the hub gave way taking the axle with it. All new parts and it is heading up to Fontana for the racers clinic without me this weekend.

The car has the AIM, not the G2X so we can't exactly compare unfortunately. My speeds were down as the heat increased to about 125 mph on the straight after 2 and maybe 120 on the backstraight.
