He is selling it to buy a race car.

Perhaps I am missing something. I saw a pic of a smashed boxster. I asked what happened to the car not why he is selling the car.

Tow different topics in that post. That's not Bernie's car.

It turns out there is a bit of good timing happening. Carl V was about to pull his Boxster engine and drop in a turbo V8 (or something like that). Hmm... that might finally move you out of LS for the BRI, Carl.

So I should be getting an engine transplant soon. Add a shoulder transplant and I'll be back on the track. :burnout:

Kary:

If your question was "What happened to Bernie's car at Fontana?", when it spun it knocked something loose in the airbox and was running rough. He said it was a very quick and easy fix, done under warranty. It sounds like a good opportunity for someone. He stays on the track, unlike myself. I just hope he doesn't throw in free lessons for the buyer.

Kim,
Don't do anything til you drive my car at the school on Sunday!! Perfect to drive to the track, compete for top 5 and drive home. I bought a spec boxster to do POC racing, very sad to part with this truly awesome car, I'd like to keep it in the club

I would love to move up to a GT3  , but financially we are strapped after the house rebuild - we overran our budget by about the price of a 2009 GT2. :banghead:

So, unless I win the lottery, the engine swap with Carl V is the most affordable option, and is already in progress. I hope to be back in my Boxster in another 7-10 days. :D

I am afraid the third garage bay is going to remain empty for some time... :surr:

Kim,
I understand, when I heard you mention 996 I wanted you to think GT3. BTW for others price is $62,999, come look on Sunday. Will be a great weekend, the school is excellent, what a bargain.
