It was the DP-02 that ran the 1:48, not the CGT. Both were brought to the track by BMC Tool Racing who were testing in preparation for this event (they are car #11):

It looks like an Elan Van Diemen DP02 Sports Racer to me--they run in IMSA Lites 1 and SCCA CSR class. Didn't Jad test drive one at WSIR last year?

Yes, it's a Panoz DP02 IMSA Lites Series car, Jad test drove a similar and probably quicker car the LMP Norma M20.

THis is a pretty good time. Just to compare, Formula 2.0 cars runs in the 1.46 at Buttonwillow clockwise without the extended offramp. I love this track, but unfortunately for some reason most organization expect SCCA and VARA won't run open wheel cars there. :(

Yes it was. Jad's time is amazing when you look at his time from last year. Over two seconds faster!!
Otto was over 4 seconds faster then last year!! Impressive stuff
Great event, perfect weather and lots of seat time( about 160 miles worth).
Thank you Robert

Yes a terrific event. Robert and the TT crew pulled off another great event. I particularly like the weather. Can you do that again, Robert?

A couple of observations:

- The track seemed really sticky to me this year.
- Adding the slightly lower temperatures seemed to benefit lots of folks based on their times. I bested my time from last year by roughly a second in practice runs and in traffic! Other were driving like their hair was on fire! (Of course, I had no problems with that issue... )
- Don Middleton was gallant in his efforts to improve his times ... only to "work the fields" for a better crop of drivers for next year. :roflmao:
- Sean Steele has really got the groove going in the magic pumpkin. What are feeding those mice, dude?
- Paul Young captured the IS record with many ... I mean MANY ... seconds to spare over my old record from last year. Nice driving, Paul. Your times and driving skills made me more frustrated than a midget with a yoyo! :banghead:
- The event ran smoothly, on schedule, and with no hiccups. Really great execution.

I always look forward to BW. It's the highlight of my driving season and an event I always plan to attend. So ... hope to see you all next year. Thanks to everyone who put this together, helped me sort out my issues, and made the event another great time.

Thank you Robert for single-handedly running a great event. We missed you Jack! See you all at Big Willow.

Second that... we killed a set of 710's and they were terrifying in timed runs. If we only...
But the most depressing part of the weekend was passing the C-GT on the outside of Riverside and realizing my video camera was off! &%$#@...
Those things are just rolling screaming art.

Stevie G.,
What a perfect description of the Carrera GT. "Rolling, screaming art."

Oh, and BTW, it looks like Sean Steele came within a half second or so of the current NASA 944 Spec track record for that configuration!
Not too shabby!
I think it's time for the MAN OF STEELE to help represent PCASDR and make the leap to wheel-to-wheel racing. :D
