Is everybody going all the way up the 15 to the 10??

It looks like a very nice shortcut would be heading east from temecula and coming in to PS from the backside and clip a good 70 miles off the trip??

That will add mountain roads to your trip and is really tough while towing.

I suggest taking the 215 to Newport go Right
Newport becomes Domenigoni Pkwy...continue to Sanderson Go Left
Sanderson becomes/connects to CA-79 N/Beaumont continue on that to th 10Fwy

You cut off about 30 miles, 15 minutes and have no mountain roads to deal with.

Thats how I would go....errrrr....ummmm....if I could go

If your not towing, going through Temecula to Anza and over the mountains is a nice drive and drops you right into Palm Desert. If your towing and want to stay on the freeways, 15N to 215N to 60E which then merges with 10E.

For those that live in East County and are towing, going 8E toward the Salton Sea and to 10 might be a more flat way to go once you crest our local mountains. With google maps it looks pretty close with the distance going up the 15, but you avoid the Riverside County traffic.

As someone mentioned, you can turn off and head towards Hemet, then go North to Beaumont, thats a fairly scenic drive, especially with all the rain we've had.

If towing the 2 options are 15 to the 60 to the 10, there is a bit of a hill on the 60, but it's not very long. If you have something that is highly challenged by gravity, you can just go all the way to the 10, but that is more traffic to deal with.

Thanks Steve for this info :burnout:

Track has security to leave cars overnight out of the trailer.
Gates are open for drop-off until 9 PM.
FYI.

I and a few others will be staying at the track overnight, Friday and Saturday as well. So at least until we fall asleep we'll make sure nothing bad is happening. Well, that is aside from whatever shinanigans we decide to get into.

Go to a big track event and see what cars are driving home and which didn't make it...
Street stock cars are perect track cars...
Not the fastest, but still a lot of fun.
