Hey Dan it's a fun way to go.
During the red group you could jump in some Top Ten cars for a different perspective.
I'll be back soon and would enjoy having you ride shotgun while we discuss the finer points.
With your assistance maybe I can keep ahead of Roland and the Killer Bee.
The ultimate would be if you were in the car while we held them off. :D

SOLD! Any time, dude! I'd positively love to ride in a high HP car, and see the likes of some of "those cars" in your mirrors, fading in view! That would be too fun! (Unsually they're in my mirrors, gaining on me like a scene out of Star Trek! )

When is the "New and Improved" going to be ready? Are you contemplating Spring Mtn?

Apologies for changing topic back to the original intention of this thread, but today is the last day to register for Buttonwillow before the price goes up.

?????????? Coming from Kary? Oh, I just couldn't resist!

And a question: Monica's 912 "intakes" air above, into the fan housing, and "discharges" it out the bottom - warmed from cooling down the engine. Don't 911's do that, too? In other words, where does all the hot air go from a 911 (to the forum)?

Run groups at Time Trials

Postby jack miller on Tue May 23, 2006 8:52 am

Hey folks, I can't say I studied this thread, but I read it "at speed." If reading all this carefully becomes part of my job description, PCA's gonna have to double my salary. What's two times nothing?

Anyway, regarding 3 run groups, I hear you about rushing around if you have a student. But here's the deal, for the most part recently, we've had two instructors per student (at all of our events but SoW). So with a bit of planning, you can really limit the hassle.

As for folks sharing cars, while I appreciate the difficulty, I don't think we should limit the track time of the 95% of the rest of us who have our own cars. If you're really interested in this sport, car sharing should be considered a temporary state of affairs, IMO.

I think going with the 2/4 group idea works great if we have a sufficiently small group. If the group can reasonably be divided into two groups, we can go that route. If not, my bias at this point is to stick with three. Here's another way to get 4 groups: get 80 people to sign up for Spring Mt.

Student instructor pairings are usually emailed to participants the week of the event.

Thanks for posting the video. Note that this video is clockwise (which is the way we will be running the track), starting on the front straight, despite the fact that the title indicates it's counterclockwise.

I think you're gonna find it's "slow in, slow out". I'll be interested to hear what everyone thinks about this --the exit is certainly a lot slower than before.
