You all sound like you are afraid you are going to lose to even more fast, water cooled, turbo charged hatchbacks  I think they are in AM class as well

Not to worry, the registered drivers have been notified of our rules and it is all handled.

Jack is on top of it and you all know what a stickler the SDR tech guys can be about not allowing cars w/o all the safety equipment.

I am not Robert of Jack but 48 is the number Jack gave me as of the 5th.

Come on people!
Last event of the year, new fast track that looks too good to miss.

I'm just about selling my soul to co-drive a car because I can't stand to miss this one.

You don't want to miss the temper tantrum that will ensue as Dan Andrews finds out that he was not only passed by a Toyota but lapped as well...

That's right Dan I made a typographical error and you were kind enough to point that out, which I appreciate so that I can better myself. I would like to call a truce so this doesn't turn into the Admin wars of 06...

You win! I can't compete with an old retired guy with too much time on his hands... I've got small children that need braces and higher education.

Now if I could just come up with "What I meant check" to go along with "spell check" and the wildly overdue "unsend button" I could retire and spend all my spare time in front of a montor like you... :burnout:

But beware I should have lots of spare time at Spring Mountain...

Spent the weekend at Simone's getting ready for Spring Mountain.
John Simone worked on some rear bumper vents as Jim Duncan 944 turbo racer and master car prep extraordinaire looked on.
Difficult to imagine Jim straying from his successful 944 turbo program.
Image
Not only would his departure be a loss for 944 racers but where ever he went would certainly benefit from all of his valuable PCA technical knowledge.
Image
It appears Jim is taking a hands on approach with this 911 oil cooler. :D
He made a pair of very nice carbon fiber oil plenum fences.
Jim thank you again for being a big help on several projects this weekend.
This is good news for 911 drivers.

Tall Mike:

I think Jim is just tryin' to minimize the "Winjin' factor" (see Australia slang dictionary for "Winje") for the 911 drivers. With less winjin', the 911's can only focus on getting faster. I don't think the 944's are loosin' Jim. He's just being nice and helpin' out the 911 drivers.

Ya know, when cars (and drivers) in KP have a car in AM lookin' over their shoulders, it's ...... well, let's just say it's interesting. I was kinda hopin' to see the AM crowd concentrating on looking ahead to try catching a run group above them this year. Instead they seem to be focused on looking behind at the lower classes catching them, or worried about some under-21-year-old in their own class blowing their doors off. :banghead:

Perhaps it's the philosophy mirroring the vehicle type: rear-engined= backward focus. Front-engined= forward focus. Mid-engined = well-balanced focus?

I don't know......... this is the forum, afterall. 8)

Counting the days to Spring Mtn.........

Dano....'dunno what ya mean? I have not worried about any car in KP....all year long. 8) Had an "off" weekend at SoW, and aside from that it's been clear horizons.

They are a nice bunch a guys & gals and seem to move over very diligently during practice sessions when gridded up in front of me.

....never been an issue for the Red Rooster. :D

NEVER been an issue :?: Funny, by my count, in the last 2 years your record against KP is 3 wins and 6 losses. Not exactly a dominating stat, maybe a little worry is in order  Especially if I move "down" to one of those funny rear engined cars my dad is building earlier in this thread :P

ummm....Jad...I've only been doing this P-car thing since mid year '03. How'z about we chalk up years years 1 & 2 as "learning". Or is it because my car is red I was expected to be "hot outta the box"?

Funny thing, when I re-read my post I see that I am refering to '06. Not the prior years back when I had an instructor riding with me or I was in the white or Yellow run groups.

Your Funny, keep diggin' bud...you'll come up with something on me eventually !!!
