Hi Gang! :D

How accurate is this BRI index for time trial? If I take my last runs on Sunday 1:23:79 times(83.79) the PS index of 1.084 it come out to a 90.83.

Is that the correct calculation?

If so it should be called the Bragging Rights Index

I also have a few pictures if I can figure how to post them.

Have Fun! Steve

Jad,
I'll personally deliver you that beer! (I have a few, what's your pleasure?) Excellent driving as usual. Thought it was worth mentioning that a 944 n/a made top ten BRI-Chuck Sharp. Check it out, he was pretty fast, even beat his son.

Thanks Jackie, I'll take whatever you have handy!

Steve S. bummer about hitting the curb in the last session or it could have been really close. You were flying in that GT2 at the end. I think the BRI is reasonable, though far from perfect, for classes that have numerous entries, but PS has everything from 997S to GT2's with the same index and little history. That cant be too accurate.

There were a lot of people who drove really well, include Chuck (by the way, Chuck you still owe me the money for not instructing your son this time  )

Curt, your GMG story was just crazy enough that I wasn't sure, I actually did do one search and kinda hoped to see you there. When might we see you again?

Dan C. talk to me next week when you finally finish a lap :roflmao:

Now I just need more miracle support from Steve G for Fontana

thanks Jad

I think the PS index is VERY soft for a GT2 on a short track like the Streets. I was right on the torque curve in 2nd or 3rd coming out of every turn. So at 3500/4000 rpm thats 400+ lb's of torque.

Also, as a minimum the GT2's and GT3's should be in PP if they run Kumho's/Hoosier etc. or only get 6 points. My 996 Turbo lost points for adding adj sway bars and the GT2/3 already have them. The GT2/3 is ride hieght adjustable and the 996 Turbo is not. Maybe just move the other cars down a class and leave PSS/PS/PP for the GT3's and GT2's to play.
(But leave the index unchanged:) :D

Just a thought! Have Fun! Steve

Dan,

You clipped me in the BRI. shoot. I think I'll trade superturbo in for a 944.

Well, I don't really feel that bad because I noticed after the timed runs I had my parking brake on  . Rookie mistake.

I was pretty happy with my time as I only got to drive 2 sessions Saturday and was on new 265 VR's in the rear and year old 225 RA-1's in the front.
Like so many others my last timed lap was my fastest of the weekend.
Hard to complain about ending the weekend like that.
The only thing that would have been sweeter would be seeing the gulf machine finish 9th...
Hope to see you back out soon.

Steve,

Don't go giving my 9th spot to the Gulf boy. I earned that, he can have 10th, or 15th or 20th or even last. Besides, I seem to remember a great spin that the Gulf car did last year right in front of everyone during timed runs. It was spectacular!!! Let Dan earn it on his own, I'm sure he's capable, did I say that out loud?
