Note, we have 57 drivers signed up for this event and will form a wait list should we hit 60. If you are planning to register at the last minute or just show up at the track, I'd suggest calling or e-mailing first to make sure there is still space. First come, first served.

Letter to registered drivers will be out by tomorrow morning.

Hi guys and gals,

We just hit 60 Sunday, 61 Saturday. At this point, however, I'll take registration from Red group cars (given our passing rules it won't be a problem), but I'm wait-listing any registrations from newbies, and slower cars from this point on (5pm Thursday). I'm sorry, but quality and quantity track time comes first, right?

Please remember to TECH your car in advance. The letter will list the shops, all the usual suspects, plus you can use POC approved shops.

If you don't get the letter by Friday afternoon, that means I don't have your registration or I typed your email address is wrong, or I got caught in your spam filter. Email me and let me know.

See you next week.

Tom Tweed and I were out at SOW Monday.
We had some VIP company with the Penske Spyders.
They drove out a couple rigs all the way from North Carolina.
Sunday night the Penske crew shared some wine and gave us the low down on the Penske operation.
They were very happy to beat the Audi R10s last year.
FYI all the Penske teams are located in N.C.
The main shop building is 8 acres under the roof.
They are testing on SOW today, looking to dial in their tight and rough track set up.
Very nice crew, but they also were very protective of any shots with the body off.
Still Wayne got a bunch at this link. 8)

Respect, Tom Tweed was super quick with slicks! :D

If they used one quarter of the pile of tires they unloaded from the transporters, the track will be well-rubbered in for you! That team is very well-equipped and staffed, to say the least.

It was definitely a really fun day, with the best weather you could ask for in the upper Mojave--a little brisk in the morning, but so nice, cool and breezy at mid-day that it made up for it. No need for a cool-suit, unless you were working as hard as Mike, leading the "ducks in a row" exercise for the novice group, instructing and giving people rides in his hot rod, driving almost every session, and heat-cycling new Hoosiers for next weekend! Watch out for him, Erik--he's dialed in and gunning for you!

Hope you all get some great conditions next weekend, and be safe.

Tom, I should be the one gunning for Mike. I know he's no sloutch, and knows his way around SOW. It will be a good challenge. This will by my 2nd time trail, and first time at streets, first time trail for our Smurf mobile. Its gonna be a Blast.

Erik pick on racers your own age, I'm older than your dad. :(
Now that Erik is a TT regular should we also factor driver age into the BRI???
Paul sr can I get an amen?
Track is in great shape, fun for all! :D

That must be something old AX drivers say.
Because after 25 minutes of continuous laps I'm not feeling that way. :? :D

Work is keeping me away from Streets but as a member of the older guys I'm rooting for the seniors. TTOD wins coupons for early bird specials at Dennys.

And don't buy the 2nd time trial gambit from Erik. He has lots of race laps so figuring out Streets with the fresh Smurfmobile is no big deal.

Have fun and see you at CFOS in April!
